Abstract: This paper introduced the composition and layout of the monitoring system in Huize Lead & Zinc mine (HLZM). A research on the temporal and spatial distribution of seismic parameters was made on the basis of rock mechanics, rock burst history and the data from HLZM. A method for locating the rock burst prone areas was proposed. The time point of caution for an impending rock burst was determined according to a study on the variation characteristics of seismic parameters in the preparation of rock burst. In the end the rock burst prediction procedure was set up and effectively applied in HLZM.
